A poster series expressing one’s autonomy and ownership over their body. The right to dictate has often been perceived as an act of rebellion against a governing system and its efforts to maintain peace and harmony. The series suggests that if we were to conform to a dictatorship, it can only be one that is a birthright created for our bodies; gaining full control over our individual selves. The visual cues were driven from nationalist motifs like flags, badges, medals and sashes in an attempt to subvert the notion that individuals are part of the system they are born in, a system that strips them of their autonomy over themselves, rather than being their own system of governance.
